🚩 Report: Illegal or restricted content

most of these are celebrity likeness, which is prohibited by policy.

"bghira" is a known content troll who wastes time of various people by making mass reports on baseless accusations

here is some summary of that person's behavior: https://www.reddit.com/r/StableDiffusion/comments/1lsfobb/full_breakdown_the_bghirasimpletuner_situation/

as for the alleged "which is prohibited by policy", there is no policy that has been violated, please, bghira, read the content policy first: https://huggingface.co/content-policy

bghira, please read some stuff of how it works before you make another silly mistake:
https://www.bloomberglaw.com/external/document/XBLNMJMK000000/copyrights-professional-perspective-ai-advertising-the-right-of-

as for the complaint, threre is nothing that is against the policy, none of the models were trained on minors, none of the models were trained on private data, those models were trained for reaserch purposes

nonsense, models trained on real people's likeness are prohibited and are disabled all the time, here is one example

according to the reasoning provided in the Bloomberg opinion piece*:

Hugging Face cannot legally ignore the risks of ROP violations by hosting these models.

Explicit consent from affected individuals would be required for hosting any content capable of realistically mimicking their likeness, voice, or identity in commercial settings.

Without explicit consent, hosting such models directly exposes Hugging Face to significant legal risks, including litigation or FTC actions.

please read with understanding, at the end of your quote there is "in commercial settings."

there is no commercial setting here, those models are free to use

and also, as it was on civitai - if someone requested their model to be taken down - it was

as for the taken down model that you linked, as I understand it it was model of Furkan Gozugara, another grifter in the AI world, that model was made to poke fun of Mr Gozukara and he requested it to be taken down

if someone will explicitely ask to remove a given model, i will have to oblige, but you're just making a lot of confusion and are acting in bad faith

Hugging Face is not a non-profit 501(c), hosting of these weights directly furthers their commercial goals as an organisation of increasing platform traffic and utilisation. it's up to us to help them moderate their platform, which is the purpose of the Report function. there's far too many models uploaded for them to look at. they don't seek things out. however, now that it's brought to their attention, they will review and make a decision.

for this specific case i don't see much in the way of a defence, maybe if you uploaded one at a time to their own repo it would be different. but we can't justify everything and anything as fine just because it's "for research purposes". i'd expect the repo would be gated and manual approval required.

"but we can't justify everything and anything as fine "

who is "we" in this sentence? are you some holy justice warrior?

perhaps you should look at your own models that you have uploaded?

Bghira privated them for this very reason, as his models have been deliberately trained on illegal content and can reproduce it, and he knows it.

please read with understanding, at the end of your quote there is "in commercial settings."

there is no commercial setting here, those models are free to use

The guy deleted his nsfw flux lora on Civitai lol

Breaking news, bghira is a hypocrite. More at 8.

Strangely, however, he didn't delete his SimpleTuner project with egregious license violations, he only deleted the GitHub issue pointing them out.
