Please stop releasing code under Apache 2.0 that is useless without closed source components you've made cc-by-4.0. If I hear one more person tell me I can train the weights myself if I am so concerned I am going to walk into the ocean and live with the sea people instead. DeepSeek and Qwen highlighted how American companies are selfishly and unnecessarily hoarding intelligence at the expense of... well, humanity, and the economy imploded!
Should you guys... be embarrassed to continue releasing research like this? I mean the work was done be real scientists, probably good and definitely smart people, and this isn't even a mainline model for you.
You're SO close here... what is the point? To have small projects of DJs experimenting have google written in their code where nobody is going to see it despite being a MASSIVE corporation that is a household name? To... have a github project for anything that uses this to say... google did it? They definitely would anyway, and if they didn't would it even be noticeable to you in the end? Even to your your AI initiatives bottom line? Are most people in the world ever going to hear about or interact with magenta?
