Solar-QuranBurner is an advanced AI model developed by the Catdrout AI development team. It is based on the state-of-the-art Solar 10.7B instruct model by Upstage AI and has been meticulously fine-tuned using Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) on an extensive dataset of 12,000 high-quality questions, answers, and multi-turn conversations that critically analyze and challenge Islamic teachings and its authors.

Model Architecture

Solar-QuranBurner leverages a cutting-edge GPT-transformer based architecture, which has been optimized through Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) to deliver exceptional performance. The development team has plans to further enhance the model's capabilities by incorporating Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) and Direct Preference Optimization (DPO) fine-tuning techniques when a more powerful 20B+ parameter model is released in the future.

Training Data

The model was trained on a meticulously curated dataset, generated by lower parameter models, resulting in slightly reduced performance compared to higher quality models used for data distillation from books. The dataset comprises 12,000 thought-provoking questions, answers, and multi-turn conversations that encourage critical thinking and analysis of Islamic teachings and its authors.

Training Process

Solar-QuranBurner underwent an intensive training process on a single NVIDIA 3090 GPU, utilizing an emissions-free grid to minimize environmental impact. The training was completed in just 2 hours, demonstrating the efficiency and effectiveness of the fine-tuning process.

Usage

To harness the power of Solar-QuranBurner, users will need to obtain the model weights and a compatible transformer-based inference library. Please note that the model does not come bundled with any specific libraries, providing users with the flexibility to choose their preferred implementation.
