 Our initiative builds on the findings of the Across-domain Investigations in Multilingualism (ADIM) project, which investigated the complexity of acquiring a third or additional language across linguistic domains such as phonology (sound system), syntax (grammar), and semantics (meaning). ADIM focused on understanding the interactions between language systems in multilingual speakers, comparing naturalistic acquisition with formal, classroom-based learning. The project involved participants with Polish, English, and Norwegian in their language repertoires and considered their proficiency levels, learning environments, and the timing of language acquisition.
