Cantonese Standardization Research Association

The Cantonese Standardization Research Association is committed to elevating the status and resource completeness of Cantonese, with the goal of bringing Cantonese to the same level as other major world languages. We work to build a solid foundation for the long-term development of Cantonese through systematic linguistic research, developing standardized language tools, organizing and establishing Cantonese language corpora, and actively promoting the use of Cantonese in education, technology, and daily life.

We hope that in the near future, Cantonese will possess a complete, modernized resource ecosystem comparable to other major languages. This ecosystem includes: a widely accepted and used standard writing system, authoritative and easily accessible dictionaries, comprehensive teaching materials for all levels, advanced and convenient digital input methods, and natural language processing technologies. The ultimate goal is to enable every Cantonese speaker to use their mother tongue freely, confidently, and without barriers in their studies, work, or daily life, while promoting the preservation, innovation, and inheritance of Cantonese culture.
